About the Show
Jeff:
I was born on a hot steamy night in the south side of Hundred, West Virginia. I was so surprised of my birth, I didn’t talk for a year and a half. I was raised to believe that I was unique, just like everyone else. While in high school I caught a re-run of WKRP in Cincinnati. I saw Johnny Fever, the DJ on the show, sleeping on the job, and I said to myself, “This is the career for me!” Plus, having been raised deep in the heart of Wetzel County, I have been a country music fan since I was knee high to Glen Campbell. So I can’t tell you how excited I am that my two passions, broadcasting and country music, are being realized: Being on The WKKW Morning Show with Jeff and Alex for the #1 country music station in West Virginia….97.9 WKKW!
Alex:
Alex O’Neal grew up in Clarksburg, WV, moved to Morgantown for WVU and basically never left. With a passion for music and storytelling, Alex has been spinning tracks and sharing stories on the airwaves since 1998. Known for her warm personality and eclectic taste in music, Alex has built a loyal following across the Mountain State. When she’s not on the air or DJing an event, Alex loves spending time trying to figure out how to garden and cook. Her hobbies include thrifting, crafting, and annoying Jeff with her positivity 😊 After spending the morning with you, she takes over the studio until 2 with an All Request Lunch Hour.
