I was born on a hot steamy night in the south side of Hundred, West Virginia. I was so surprised of my birth, I didn’t talk for a year and a half. I was raised to believe that I was unique, just like everyone else. While in high school I caught a re-run of WKRP in Cincinnati. I saw Johnny Fever, the DJ on the show, sleeping on the job, and I said to myself, “This is the career for me!” Plus, having been raised deep in the heart of Wetzel County, I have been a country music fan since I was knee high to Glen Campbell. So I can’t tell you how excited I am that my two passions, broadcasting and country music, are being realized: Being on The Morning Drive With Jeff and Sarah for the #1 country music station in West Virginia….97.9 WKKW!
Sarah R. Rowan Giosi (It’s a mouthful, so you can just call me Sarah!)
I am a West Virginia girl through and through! After college, I made my way to various cities all around the country (even ending up in Edinburgh, Scotland for a spell) as a producer, returning back to my hometown of Morgantown about 4 years ago. My husband Jeff (not the same Jeff as my co-host, but I see how the name duplication can be confusing!) and I now live here, own our own business, and take an active role in our community! We love this place! We have two fur babies – a cat named Lady Alexandra and an American Staffordshire Terrier named Achilles. I’m blessed to have an amazing family and friends in the area, and pretty dope dance skills. (No one hits the Electric Slide like me at a wedding!)
I can’t imagine my life without good people, laughs, and music, which is why I’m so excited to be a part of a morning show that has all three!
